The Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences (MJMS) is a peer-reviewed open-access online journal, published 4 times a year. The journal’s scope encompasses biomedical, allied health and clinical sciences.

MJMS started its humble beginning as Diagnosa, first published in 1987 by the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Since then, Diagnosa has progressed from being an internal publication to being recognised as a national medical journal. Re-branded as the Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences (MJMS), the journal has gone international, being indexed in renowned databases: Bioline International, SCOPUS, EBSCO, DOAJ, Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, MyAIS, and several others. The journal is also a proud member of World Association of Medical Editors, Council of Science Editors, and Scientist Without Borders. MJMS is now published under the Universiti Sains Malaysia Press.

Authors are welcomed to submit original articles, review articles, brief communications, special communications, or case reports for consideration of publication in MJMS.
